I'm home sick today from class and I've set aside some time for some good ol' fashioned blog posting. I've been learning a lot about 19th century photography and have fallen in love with some of the designs on the backs of carte-de-visites (think personal trading cards you would collect of friends, family and celebrities and keep in an album). You can find CDVs at antique markets and they are usually quite cheap, I won't get into further details but here are some googled images of the backs of some cartes.
