CDV

I'm home sick today from class and I've set aside some time for some good ol' fashioned blog posting. I've been learning a lot about 19th century photography and have fallen in love with some of the designs on the backs of carte-de-visites (think personal trading cards you would collect of friends, family and celebrities and keep in an album). You can find CDVs at antique markets and they are usually quite cheap, I won't get into further details but here are some googled images of the backs of some cartes.

This is what I'm doing instead of some serious photo history catch up. Today was the first day back at school and I have a few things to brush up on but for now I'm happy planning my fall and spring wardrobe.

Let's get this Party Started

Went up north, rounded up some moss and finally put together my terrarium, now i just have to keep it alive.

School starts today (at noon) and so does my return to regular blog postings. I will also be posting on "Days in a Year" quite soon, I just have to organize all the little films I made over the summer and convert all the files. See you soon!
